Bigger on the Inside shawl

Today I want to show you some shawls. To be exactly - two shawls but one at a time.

The first one is Bigger on the Inside shawl by Kate Atherley.

The pattern is great - very clear and easy. I'm not familiar with the Doctor Who tv-show but I know that Kate (author of this design) is a fan of it.
Just look at those call-boxes (or whatever it is)! They are so cute! Though it's not classical pattern for shawl, it looks very nice and tender.

Yarn: Lorna's Laces Solemate
Needles: US 2 1/5  (3mm)

And second one is - Spearmint Tea that you can find in my next post :)
These two shawls also have something in common for me. They were first shawls that I knit with fingering weight yarn. Usually I prefer to knit with lace yarn but it was really fun to try something new. And I really like the whole fabric after blocking - it's not featherweight, but very cozy! I'm sure that I'll back to knitting shawls with fingering weight yarn again sometime.

Happy knitting!

Kate
