Goodbye 2014! Hello 2015!

Hi!

I still can not believe it is 2015 already! Happy New Year, guys!
This will be a very short post with only one pic - the collage with my projects from 2014. It's not all of them though, as I didn't take any pics of repeated projects.. But still - it's nice to see them all together.

Hope that 2015 will be as productive as 2014 was!

Cozy Fall. New woven scarves

Hi!

I've got some new scarves that I just have to show you! They are so great for Fall - perfectly colored and not to warm.

First one is very classic Fall-ish. There is a grey sky, autumn air and a little bit of golden leaves in it.

Plums on the Sun!

Finally I have something to show you :)
I was pretty busy these last few weeks as I took a class of programming. Well, not actual programming maybe, just a begining as I don't know anything about that. That's why it takes almost all my time now... But I'm really trying to find a free space in my schedule to knit or to weave a little every single day.
So this scarf was on my loom for month I think. That is a longest time I've had an unfinished scarf actually. So when I got new orders few days ago I needed to finish this one.
I'm totally in love with this colorway (it is Fluorite, btw)! Though it was a surprise for me. I bought this yarn on Ravelry and on the photo it looked more like yellow-brown colors. So I was really (but of course pleasantly) surprised when I got this purple-yellow-gray skein!

Granite scarf (or Spring is here!)

Hi guys!

It is a real spring out here in California already. Trees are blossom, birds sings! And it's even smell like a spring :)
The scarf I want to show you today was made a few days ago. It is actually a "marble" or "granite" scarf but as I look at it I clearly see light magnolia blossoms in this colorway :)

The yarn is Bluemoon Fiber Arts lightweight in Pink Granite colorway. I've found this one in one lady's stash on Ravelry and she kindly sell it to me as I fell in love with it with a first sight :) So amazingly soft and tender colors... I don't know when the guys from BFA was selling that one but at this moment (unfortunately) they don't have it in their shop :(

Weaving: Ocean Dream

Hi!

So.. Here is what I have now! New hand woven scarf with gradient color change!
It was made with an amazing Socks That Rock that I show you here last time in a great Oceana colorway. I just love all about it: the drape, the color change, the weight of fabric (it has very nice feeling weight). Well... everything :)

Weaving: first scarf

Wow, it's been a while from my last update here...
It's all my camera's fault! It doesn't want to upload photos to my PC but I keep struggling. And today I've got something!

About a month ago I bought a simplest loom - Beka rigid heddle loom 20". It came to me really fast and I began to learn weaving. Actually there is nothing to learn in weaving on rigid heddle loom. It is absolutely easy to do.
I made a few woven scarves for now but only one is good enough to show you :)

Here it is:
