Goodbye 2014! Hello 2015!

Hi!

I still can not believe it is 2015 already! Happy New Year, guys!
This will be a very short post with only one pic - the collage with my projects from 2014. It's not all of them though, as I didn't take any pics of repeated projects.. But still - it's nice to see them all together.

Hope that 2015 will be as productive as 2014 was!

Crochet baby blankets

Hi!

This time I've decided to show you my crochet baby blankets that I've made this summer.

I've been dreaming to crochet a baby blankets with motives for quite some time now but all the yarn tails that you have to put in each time have been stopping me all the time.

But after admiring all the lovely crochet blankets on Evasdoodlings 's IG I just couldn't wait any longer to start mine as well.

First one was pretty bright and colourful. This colour combo - turquoise, mint and chocolate - is my most favourite! So it was a pure pleasure to work on this blanket.
Here are some photos from my IG which shows you pieces of future blanket:

Crochet tunic

Hi!
A few days ago I understood that September is really close and that means that our vacation on the beach in Crimea pretty close too. :) and I want to have something nice to wear on the swimsuit.

So I decided to crochet a tunic. Well, it is pretty optimistic plan as I have about a month till our vacation and this project is not the only one at this time :)

I have a very nice yarn from Valley Yarns - CotLin 50% cotton, 50% linen. I like it so much and I think it's perfect for this project - the crochet fabric isn't warm, pretty light and airy.

The tunic consist of a square motives and here is what I have for now :) it is going not so fast with 1.5 mm hook :) Hope to finish it before middle of September :)

P.s.Oh, and you can follow me on Instagram to see the most fresh pictures of my WIP's. My username is kasi4ka out there :)

On the... hook?

Hi!

A little sneak peak! I just can't seat and watch on it by myself for so long :) it is a pretty big project - I'm not going to tell what is it, but as for me - it's one of my huge projects :)

It is crocheted.. and it's almost done. Actually it could be done in a months ago. But I'm a knitter with a lot of WIP's all the time so I work on this one only when I've finished some new project and want to do something absolutely another.

I hope to finish it in a few days while I'm waiting for some supplies and there is nothing really interesting to do (knit or crochet) except of this one project :)
Stay tuned!

Crochet tablecloth

I just understood that I forgot to show you my new crochet tablecloth! What was I thinking about?!

I finished it about 3 weeks ago and it have been already in my shop for a while.
It is made of pretty thin mercerised cotton. This tablecloth (or a big doily?) is square and it's not really big: about 47 inches length.

Set of cotton coasters and doily

And while I'm here I think I should write about one more new item.
I just noticed a few days ago that I stop crochet somehow. All that I do is knitting. So I think my hands just was missing hook. And I decided to add some small crochet doily to my shop.
As it is Thanksgiving Day and Christmas soon, so I was looking for pattern that will add some cozy winter look to your house. And I choosed these coasters and a doily.

Crochet doily (bruges lace)

Hi!
I decided to start my posts from this doily.

Actualy, I don't remember when I started to crochet. I think I was about 10-12 years old. Interesting thing that any one of my family or friends can't crochet at all and I don't remember how I learned it. But I remember that when we had that "crochet lessons" at school I was already good in crochet and I was helping all my friends.
This doily I made this spring. I found that it has unusual form and geometric style so I can't pass it.

Oh, yes. It is a bruges lace - one of my favorite style of crochet lace ;)

And a photos of one more doily made in brugges lace. I love-love-love this one!

That's it! :)
